Wedding Hair

Your wedding day is one of the most important and exciting days of your life. I absolutely love getting to share a small part of your big day with you.

I listen carefully and meticulously to your ideas and create a look that is uniquely you and customised to suit your style and wedding vibe perfectly. Your bridal look is going to be one of a kind and your hair is the ultimate finishing touch.

Whether it’s dreamy and delicate or effortless glam I can share expert advice for what will work best with your hair type, length and natural texture. This all takes place during your bridal hair preview. I usually travel to you for this however you’re more than welcome to come to my house in Wimborne too. I focus my skills and training on hairdressing, but I regularly work with a few close makeup artists and can recommend them highly.

Bridal Trials

Your bridal trial will last approximately 90 minutes and start with a consultation to discuss your wedding day plans and ideas.

Building on your ideas and themes and any pictures that you like we can then tailor a style for you, for a truly unique look that you feel completely comfortable with (you’ve still got to feel like you).

We can play about with different styles until you are completely happy.

I take a photograph of the final look for reference and we can organise timings for the day and any extra Bridal party requirements.

Can you please have clean, natural hair for the trial, as this helps get the best result with styling. I can send you a copy of my perfect hair prep guide.

My aim is for you to have complete confidence in my services, so that you can relax and enjoy being pampered on your special day.

What to expect when you book Lucy Wellgreen Hair.

I cover pretty much the whole of Dorset but am willing travel further afield too. I’m a fully mobile bridal hairdresser so can do your hair at your hotel, house or venue. I hate being late so usually arrive a little early and will just set up all my tools ready for starting.

Together we can come up with a good action plan well in advance so every member of your bridal party knows where they should be and when. Just ask if you’d like me to create a schedule for you.

I usually allow 30 minutes per bridesmaid or guest hair and an hour for the bride’s hair. Individual circumstances and requirements are taken into consideration and usually discussed at your hair preview.

I like to finish an hour before you need to leave for the ceremony which leaves plenty of time to get into your dress, have a glass of bubbly and have a few group shots with your bridesmaids.

I’m happy to wait for you to get into your dress if you have a veil that needs securing, or I can teach a trusted bridesmaid how to do this. That last hour always goes super quick!!
