Wendy Sax – Professional female smooth jazz and jazz saxophonist available for hire, playing easy listening, lounge, light jazz & pop, soul, groove, club anthems and Ibiza chillout to accompaniment from backing tracks or alongside your dj.
Wendy has played for many years both on the professional circuit and performs solo as well as in bands. Alongside all the solo work Wendy undertakes, she also directs her own 8 piece jazz funk fusion band Spiral, performs regularly with her jazz outfit Coco Jazz and the sax and vocal duo, Saxuality.

Before and During the Ceremony
Live music is a great scene-settler whilst your family and friends are arriving, adding a touch of sophistication at the start of your special day and when you are ready to make your entrance, let the soulful sound of the saxophone play your chosen song as you walk down the aisle and entertain your guests whilst you sign the register and, make your all important exit as Mr & Mrs!
Champagne and Photographs
Whilst you are having your all important photo session after the ceremony why not leave your guests with a glass of champagne, catching up with old friends and being entertained in style with some sax, keeping the wedding day ambience alive.
The Wedding Breakfast
A live saxophone during the wedding breakfast can be played at a level which still allows normal conversation but maintains a subtle ambience, thereby avoiding any quiet moments whilst you and your guests are eating.
Evening Reception
The perfect way to get your evening reception off to a great start, create a mellow mood perfect for conversation and mingling until your main event, usually when a live band or DJ takes over.
First Dance
Your first dance of the evening is a special event and many times I get asked to play this on sax with a backing track of your choice which can be anything from a slow and sultry song to an upbeat club anthem. The choice is yours!
Wendy has previously worked with the famous 70’s group Odyssey and the band, Apart From Rod, featuring 3 of Rod Stewart’s original band members – Jim Cregan, Robin LeMesurier and Gary Grainger and recently had a successful overseas tour were she shared the stage with some of the UK’s top cabaret artists including Andy Abrahams of X Factor fame.
Her versatility enables her to play in many different musical styles including jazz, blues, pop, soul, Ibiza chillout, and contemporary smooth jazz and groove, making her popular and in demand.

Just wanted to drop a message to say thanks so much for playing at our wedding on 17th July at Parley Manor. It was great having you there to create that fun atmosphere and the music was fab!! You are so talented! Ben and I didn’t get to full enjoy having you there but we could hear you in the background whilst we were having our pics taken. Many of our friends did comment though on how great you were and we were especially happy to have you play us back down the aisle ☺️
